Wow！ I’m not sure what I was expecting from this spy thriller， but it certainly wasn’t this。 Thanks to @tandemcollectiveuk and @baskervilleJMP for this amazing book， and for also gifting me the second book in the series， Dead Lions which I am planning on picking up VERY soon。It did take a while for me to get into this book， I’m not sure whether it was the introduction of several characters quite quickly or the switching from the two ‘houses’ but after about 100 pages， I really became invested in Wow！ I’m not sure what I was expecting from this spy thriller， but it certainly wasn’t this。 Thanks to @tandemcollectiveuk and @baskervilleJMP for this amazing book， and for also gifting me the second book in the series， Dead Lions which I am planning on picking up VERY soon。It did take a while for me to get into this book， I’m not sure whether it was the introduction of several characters quite quickly or the switching from the two ‘houses’ but after about 100 pages， I really became invested in the book and the characters。This is the perfect spy thriller， full of lies， deceit and the feeling of who， if anyone， should I trust？ Slough House is a safety net to catch you when you fall from favour within MI5， the staff at Regents Park sneer at you from afar， but not all is as it seems…As I said， it does take a while to get into this book， but I would still recommend this page turning roller-coaster ride of a book， strap yourself in for a thrilling ride into the underworld of spies。Thank you to @tandemcollectiveuk， @baskervilleJMP @AppleTVPlus and #mickherron for a gifted copy of this book。 。。。more
